PLANETARY GEAR UNIT.
Movement is transmitted by planetary gear unit: the most suitable choice for all applications involving impacts and overloading.
Planetary mechanical transmission makes it possible to use 3 gears “in parallel”, thus distributing the torque on several teeth at the same time, resulting in a compact device suitable for this application.
GEAR TRANSMISSION (NOT WITH CHAIN)
Transmission takes place by means of pinion and gear wheel pair, directly achieved on the supporting turntable. It makes possible to transmit high torques and assures full reversibility of the turntable’s rotation movement without causing backlash or undesirable oscillations typical of chain systems that require effective tensioners.

ABB model also has the tilting blade compacting system as the regular model, but the guide rails are anchored onto a mobile structure, hinged onto the box (hood), that opens when the material is unloaded.
The waste is loaded and unloaded on the same side.
The ABB single blade compactor has the great advantage of being able to unload horizontally thanks to an ejection system with movable blade actuated by a multi-stage cylinder. Tightness between box and hood is assured by a gasket on the two side jambs on the entire height and on the lower rail. A supplementary lock applied in the lower part of the hood actuated hydraulically assures mechanical tightness between the two structures.
The compactor is moved and the hatch is opened with a truck equipped with roll-on/off and auxiliary hydraulic circuit to be connected, during unloading, to the system controlling hatch opening and closing located on the compactor.

A MINI version was designed to use compactors even where there are space constraints.
The functional features are the same as the large version, compacting is assured by a blade sliding on wearresistant steel within “Hoesch” guide rails, hinged at the top onto the compactor’s frame to permit the tilting motion.
Thanks to its compact size the compactor may be moved by small/medium sized trucks fitted with roll-on equipment, able to manoeuvre even in small spaces.

The single blade compactor is ideal for compacting moist municipal solid waste and bulky materials. The bottom of the compression chamber is constructed with a single plate HARDOX 400 and creates a chute that enters the box directly.
The hydraulic unit is placed under the bottom plate, thus achieving a fully airtight structure.

The lightweight model horizontal ram roll on/off compactor is available in two versions:
Model APB with tilt opening hatch using connection to the hydraulic system of the transport tractor or roll-off equipment.
The hatch opening angle of 130° prevents it from rubbing against the waste on the ground and allows the equipment to tilt completely to conveniently extract the material from the box
Model APL with manually opening, single casement hatch. The hatch rotates by 270° on three hinges. Closure is assured by three pawls placed on the opposite side of the hinge controlled by a manual ratchet system.
For both hatches, tightness is assured by a gasket on the two side jambs on the entire height and on the lower casement.

Thanks to 8m2 of photovoltaic modules installed on the roof, a pack of high-efficiency batteries and a software to manage and optimise energy resources on the machine, BTE solar power compactors are suitable where there is no electricity.
Furthermore, the extremely low noise level combined with a modern and attractive design makes the photovoltaic solution suitable for installation in recycling centres located in prime urban settings, town centres or areas intended for temporary events such as trade fairs and special events.
The top part of the hopper is protected by a sliding canopy, fitted with 2 photovoltaic modules, with 4 other photovoltaic modules installed on the box area in a fixed position.
The battery pack was designed to meet the specific need for constant and prolonged power supply.
The system’s modularity assures operation with batteries as well as connection to the power mains, so the machine may also be used when there is no stored power due to insufficient light or adverse weather conditions.
A version without photovoltaic panels is also available, having oversized batteries so the compactor is able to work autonomously.
The particular feature of model ACB is that its box structure is split into two parts, hinged to one another in the upper section of the loading hopper. In this way the part that contains the compacted waste opens when unloading, thus making it considerably easier to unload the material.
This makes it the compactor optimal for hard to extract materials after pressing.
Compared to the standard horizontal ram, the hydraulic system is more powerful and the blade cylinders are oversized to achieve a thrust of 50 Tonnes.
It opens by lifting the top part of the box through two hydraulic cylinders. A locking system with mechanical pawls controlled directly by the opening cylinders ensures the two parts are mechanically tight.
Available in the version with lengthwise partition (1/3 and 2/3) for the entire length and height of the compactor for separate collection of 2 types of material.
